    SEMINAR AND TRAINING

TO: ALL MEMBERS OF MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA

    Dear Sir/Madam,

INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN MAN /IFC PRIVATE ENTERPRISE PARTNERSHIP FOR AFRICA TRAINING WORKSHOP ON EFFECTIVE INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT (July 10- 11, 2007).

The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) is pleased to announce the 2007 edition of its regular two-day Workshop on Effective Industrial Production Management because of strong demand, particularly from our members who were unable to attend the very successful 2006 edition of the training course.

As part of its membership service obligations, MAN is committed to the promotion of knowledge driven manufacturing as part of the panacea to the myriad of problems faced by the manufacturing sector in Nigeria.

MAN believes that for organizations to keep their operations running efficiently, it is necessary that the right kind of production system that transforms inputs (people, materials, money and information) into outputs (goods and services) must be installed. The ideal is that the chosen system must be that which ensures very high rate of productivity. It follows therefore that faced with persistent difficult operating environment, manufacturers in Nigeria must brace up to the challenge of designing and implementing efficient production and operation management mechanisms that would eliminate waste and reduce cost in order to enhance their profitability.

Amongst other objectives, the mission of this workshop is to empower participants with best practices instruments as the key tools for enhanced productivity in their respective manufacturing operations.

In order to assist manufacturers to respond positively to these production challenges, the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation-PEP Africa has put together a team of experts to facilitate a 2-day workshop on EFFECTIVE INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT from July 10-11, 2007 at Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Km 12/13, Abakaliki Expressway, Emene Ind.
